Caroline Barske is designing for PS 208 The Magnet School for Environmental Stewardship

My name is Caroline Barske. I was born here in New York City but have lived my entire life in Munich, Germany.

I am very interested in working with an architect later on to then build a house around the objects I have chosen. I love clean, simple and straight lines as well as geometric spaces and little details. Also I am interested in creating harmonies but on the other hand sharp contrasts between the building and the mostly soft and organic shapes of nature, such as trees and landscapes.

The Environmental School, PS 208 is in that way a challenge, because it is an already existing building in New York in which I have to use the existing rooms to then create a nature related theme for them. The students should not get a positive kick out of it but also learn from the different designs.
